Frequently Asked Questions

Clear marine vinyl comes by the yard or full roll. Need a specific length? Choose "By the Yard" and enter the quantity in yards (one yard is 36" long by 54" or 72" wide). If you want the whole roll? Select "Full Roll" and enter the quantity. You usually get a better discount on a full roll. Once you've chosen your option, adjust the "Quantity" and add it to your cart! Check the Length Guide for more examples.
For cleaning, use mild dish soap and warm water, or opt for specialized vinyl cleaners like 303 Clear Vinyl Cleaner/Protectant or IMAR Cleaners. Avoid harsh cleaners like Windex or bleach. Once completely dry, roll the vinyl back onto the original cardboard tube (no packing materials inside) and store it upright in a cool, dry place with consistent temperatures.
Clear vinyl offers exceptional clarity, UV resistance, water resistance, high flexibility, durability, and is easy to clean. It can be enhanced with various additives such as colorants, UV stabilizers, cold crack stabilizers, and fire retardants, setting it apart from regular vinyl.
Clear Vinyl is made from high-quality PVC plastic. There are also different types of plasticizers that can be used to make clear vinyl. We make sure to use a DOTP plasticizer which is the safest in the market and it is lead and phthalate free.
Perfect for a wide range of applications, including boat enclosures, porch windows, safety barriers, table coverings, Greenhouses, Bag Liners and Purses, Pet Doors, Chicken Coops and more.
We've spoken to over 100 manufacturers, and all of them say they simply don't have machines large enough to produce wider vinyl. It took us years to find a factory that could produce 72" vinyl. The only way to make it wider is to create a much thinner product, similar to a painter's tarp from Home Depot, which wouldn't be suitable for windows. The other option is heat sealing panels together, but this creates seams and requires a $50,000 machine.
The tinted vinyl reduces the light passing through it differently based on thickness.
